Cygnet Paddocks: A Flagship Acquired Brain Injury Service

Cygnet Paddocks is a purpose-built service located in Widnes, providing a unique and extensive Neuropsychiatric treatment, care, and rehabilitation pathway for individuals affected by Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). We are seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurses to join our team on a Full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality written reports based on nursing assessments and observations
  • Collaborate with the management team to contribute to the ongoing development of the service, participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Attend training and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to enhance knowledge and promote nursing excellence
  • Ensure individual care plans are complete and maintained in accordance with NMC guidelines, collectively with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer prescribed medicines in accordance with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines

Requirements:
  • Current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, patients, and their support networks
  • Preparedness to undertake the physical care needs of patients, demonstrating a hands-on approach to nursing care
  • Advocate for patient rights and well-being, with a commitment to providing patient-centred care and ensuring their voices are at the forefront of treatment
