Job Summary:
The CK Group is recruiting for an Engineering Technician to support production at their Plymouth site. This is a day shift, on-site role with a 3 days on, 3 days off schedule. As an Engineering Technician, you will provide comprehensive engineering support to resolve complex equipment breakdowns and maximize output. Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting Production Technicians in troubleshooting machine-related faults.
  • Sharing knowledge as a process expert for specific equipment.
  • Mentoring colleagues in fault diagnosis and technology utilization.
  • Implementing improvements to existing equipment to reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance quality and health & safety.
  • Supporting Project and Process Groups during new equipment installation and start-up.
  • Leading small process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in a high-volume assembly and manufacturing environment. They should possess proficient IT skills for operating SAP systems and a strong engineering aptitude. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are also essential. Estimated salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
