Asset Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Asset Inspector to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As an Asset Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting statutory surveying and inspection of the overhead and underground network to ensure compliance with Environmental Safety Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQC Regulations).
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on your own and with others to walk and inspect the overhead line network within our Distribution area.
- Planning your work to ensure the quantity of inspections are kept to the planned target.
- Delivering a great customer service experience.
- Committing to working safely; completing risk assessments to take care of yourself and others to ensure a high performance of safety health and wellbeing.
- Improving productivity by finding and implementing innovative and effective business improvements.
Requirements include:
- A willingness to travel and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- The ability to work independently as the nature of the role involves lone working often in remote locations.
- It would be beneficial but not essential to have some knowledge of electricity and our electricity networks along with an understanding of the Electricity Supply Quality Continuity Regulations.
- Competent in your IT skills as data is recorded using electronic devices.
- To be capable of reading a map and drawings related to our network.
