About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintain accurate ledgers.
  2. Process weekly and monthly payroll, pension, and PAYE contributions.
  3. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls, systems and processes.
  6. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and filings.
  7. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by senior management.
  8. Prepare company tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes.
  9. Monitor office expenses and match purchase orders with invoices.
  10. Assist with strategic financial planning.
  11. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, highlighting areas of concern or opportunity.
  12. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and projects.
  13. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  14. Manage submissions to HMRC for PAYE, VAT, Pensions.
  15. Ad-hoc financial / administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Advanced level of Excel and ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, financial systems and financial tools.
