Completely Care is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a Dietary Care Professional, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and delicious meals in various care settings. Your expertise in nutrition and meal preparation will be essential in meeting the dietary needs of residents, including those with allergies or special dietary requirements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and visually appealing.
  • Adapt menus and recipes to accommodate the specific dietary needs of residents.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to understand and meet the needs of residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, deliveries, and inventory.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a cook in care settings such as care homes, residential homes, or nurseries.
  • Knowledge of dietary needs and nutrition, particularly for elderly residents and young children.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) and a valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
