Endoscopy Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic Endoscopy Unit team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supervising staff, and contributing to the smooth operation of the unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized holistic patient care to patients attending the endoscopy unit
- Assist with endoscopic procedures and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Coordinate the unit's daily activities, supervise staff, and provide appraisal, teaching, and support
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance initiatives
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the unit's continuous improvement

Requirements- Registered Nurse with at least 2 years' experience in endoscopy-related practice
- Relevant courses and qualifications, such as mentorship and leadership training
- Experience in managing endoscopy lists, supervising staff, and contributing to clinical governance initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care
