About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse Associate to join our dynamic team in the Outpatients Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing holistic and person-centred care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with Gynae and Urology procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Support the Admission and Discharge process for patients, working closely with the nursing team to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Work independently, with the support and leadership of registered nurses, to ensure high standards and a safe environment are maintained.
  • Undertake clinical tasks agreed within competence to the specific clinical area, promoting health and independence for our patients.
  • Implement a plan of care that is in accordance with the patient's individual care needs and the predicted date of patient discharge.
  • Support and maintain patient safety by undertaking clinical risk assessments and utilising the clinical incident reporting system.
  • Ensure the privacy, dignity, and safety of individuals are always maintained.
  • Recognise changing priorities and seek advice and guidance from the Registered Nurse or other registered care professionals as appropriate.
  • Work within the principles of informed consent and ensure valid consent is obtained prior to undertaking nursing and care procedures.
  • Improve the quality of care by contributing to the continuous monitoring of people's experience of care.
  • Report any untoward incidents to the manager or trained nurse, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and relatives.
