Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Carbon Engineer/Manager to lead the development and implementation of a carbon management system on a large infrastructure project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in carbon management and experience in managing cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and coordinate a PAS2080-compliant carbon management system across a multi-disciplinary, multi-organizational project delivery team.
  • Coordinate the project's carbon baseline and reduced carbon forecast.
  • Support the project delivery team in embedding sustainable best practices.
  • Identify and support stakeholders in delivering carbon reduction opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and the incorporation of low-carbon materials, assess their viability, and deploy where appropriate.
  • Collate and present case studies for sharing lessons learned.
  • Review and assure all carbon-related project deliverables and broader sustainability deliverables.
  • Communicate confidently and authoritatively with clients and stakeholders, and provide feedback on project KPIs.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks for less experienced Carbon Engineers.
  • Support the Sustainability Project Lead on broader sustainability tasks.
  • Support the PAS2080 audit process.
  • Deliver carbon workshops and training.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in carbon management, ideally 7+ years in the industry.
