About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a dynamic and innovative Primary School in South Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

The school adopts a therapeutic approach, focusing on building meaningful relationships to create a safe and nurturing environment for students to thrive. This approach has led to excellent attendance and successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nurture and inspire students with SEMH needs, providing support and guidance to help them engage in their learning
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to develop and implement strategies to support students with challenging behaviour
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is positive, empathetic, and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to support young people. Experience or knowledge of SEMH is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage challenging behaviour, work effectively in a team, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
