Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Counsel to join our expanding legal and compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will independently handle various legal matters, primarily focusing on drafting and negotiating international commercial contracts, advising on data transfer and protection requirements, and enforcing ethics and compliance requirements across our regional offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on complex legal issues in multiple fields, including commercial, healthcare compliance, international law, data privacy, and compliance.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including service, distribution, licensing, data privacy, and public-sector framework agreements.
  • Interpreting and advising on EU, UK, Irish, and Swiss laws and regulations.
  • Supporting executive leaders and commercial teams in discussions with external parties, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Providing commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice and services.
  • Researching, anticipating, and protecting the company against legal risks.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of legal processes to promote efficiency.
  • Assisting in the development, revision, and deployment of policies, procedures, and trainings.
  • Staying informed about current legislation and regulatory changes of interest to the company or that have relevance to the company's operations.
Requirements
  • Qualified to practice law in the UK with at least 3 years of PQE.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Experience interpreting and applying data privacy laws relevant to international business transactions involving data transferred within and between European countries, Switzerland, UK, and/or the USA.
  • Established understanding of ethics and compliance laws, and corporate program governance.
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision and take ownership for advice provided.
