Biffa is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. You'll be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues, providing prompt and efficient support across various areas such as IT systems, telephony, network connectivity, and applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling customer requests and incidents with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Responding to user inquiries via phone and email regarding technical issues.
  • Gathering detailed information about reported problems to accurately log and track incidents.
  • Working diligently to resolve issues promptly or escalate them to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of complex problems.
  • Adhering to established Service Desk procedures and standards to maintain consistent service delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the IT support environment.
  • Contributing to the Knowledge Base by updating articles and creating new content to assist users.
  • Mentoring and training new Service Desk staff members to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

  • Previous experience working in a Service Desk environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
