Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our nursery/reception class team as an Early Years Education Support Professional. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with nursery and reception-aged children, looking to make a significant impact in the formative years of young learners.

About the Role
  • Assist in the delivery of daily activities and lessons designed for nursery and reception-aged children.
  • Support the class teacher in preparing educational materials and classroom setup.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Engage with children individually and in groups, facilitating learning and play activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Assist with the organisation and storage of learning resources and materials.
  • Ensure the health and safety of children is maintained during all activities.
Requirements
  • Experience working with nursery and reception-aged children.
  • Strong understanding of early years educational needs and classroom management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and teaching support.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education are preferred but not essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £14.18 per hour, based on national averages and industry standards. We offer opportunities for professional development and training, as well as a supportive and inclusive team environment.

This is a long-term part-time position, working 8.45am - 12.00pm every day. The potential for the role to become permanent makes it an attractive opportunity for those looking for stability and growth.
