Facilities Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Longdon Park School, part of Options Autism. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school sites, providing a safe and supportive environment for our pupils and staff.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils. As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our school sites, including repairs, maintenance, and security procedures. You will also contribute to school development projects and work closely with our facilities team to ensure that our sites are well-maintained and equipped to meet the needs of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the school's facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Ensure the health and safety of pupils and staff by identifying and mitigating potential risks
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of our school sites
  • Work closely with our facilities team to ensure that our sites are well-maintained and equipped to meet the needs of our pupils
  • Contribute to school development projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience as a site manager of a school or similar environment
  • Strong maintenance and repair skills, with the ability to work at pace and to a high standard
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, pupils, and external partners
