Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Holiday Inn Express Norwich. As a Cook, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality meals that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present meals that are visually appealing and delicious, incorporating your own creative flair.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared in accordance with company guidelines, minimizing waste and adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our menus and products, being able to answer guest and colleague queries about ingredients, allergens, and provenance.
  • Maintain accurate records, store ingredients properly, and control temperatures to ensure a safe and healthy food environment.
  • Efficiently clear and set up the kitchen area as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Cook, Commis Chef, or similar role in a branded hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent administrative skills for completing health and safety, food hygiene tasks, and other related duties.
  • Proactive, composed, enthusiastic, and approachable, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills in all aspects, including verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
