Food Technology Educator

Step Teachers is collaborating with a secondary school in a market town on the A11, between Norwich and Thetford, to find a Food Technology Teacher to start in January 2025.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards for food technology. This will involve instructing students in the principles and practices of food technology, including food preparation, nutrition, and safety.

  1. Deliver high-quality lesson plans that promote student learning and progress.
  2. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate food technology into broader educational initiatives.
  4. Maintain a well-organized and well-equipped food technology laboratory.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a Bachelor's degree in food technology or a related field. They will also have demonstrated experience in teaching food technology at the secondary school level and a strong knowledge of food technology principles and practices.
