The Role:

  • Assisting with the moving of patients around the hospital on beds/trolleys and wheel chairs.
  • Carrying out routine pathology, samples and similar collections.
  • Ensuring storage areas are maintained, cleaned and tidy.
  • Helping to mitigate risk and sustain a good quality of décor by identifying building fabric areas in need of repair.
  • Transporting of equipment from one area to another.
  • Occasional use of simple tools and equipment.
  • Helping with deliveries & their drivers.
  • Supporting clinical staff as required.
  • Following our Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring that the location is tidy, pleasant, and safe for patients.
  • Sweeping of leaves in Autumn months to keep paths clear.
  • Collecting bulk linen to top up the department stock around the hospital.
  • Collecting general/clinical waste and disposing of in the correct manner.

About You:

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and has excellent communication skills. As a Porter, you will be responsible for assisting with the movement of patients and equipment around the hospital, ensuring the smooth running of operations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Salary:

An estimated salary of £23,887.50 per annum.
