About the Role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their complex needs team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have experience working with young people or young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a warm and welcoming SEN school that provides specialist knowledge, skills, and resources to meet the needs of pupils aged 11-18 years old with severe learning difficulties and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide support to teachers and other staff members in delivering high-quality education to pupils with SEN
  • To develop and implement strategies to promote pupil engagement and progress
  • To maintain accurate records of pupil progress and development
Requirements
  • Degree in Education or related field (not required but desirable)
  • Experience working with young people or young adults with SEN (personal or professional)
  • Strong understanding of the SEN curriculum
  • Proven record of good/outstanding feedback from lesson observations/performance management
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £36,000 per annum based on a 9-month contract. As a member of Prospero Teaching, you will have access to accredited continued professional development courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
