Customs Compliance Specialist

About the Role:As a Trainee Customs Agent, you will play a critical role in managing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with UK and international regulations, and supporting smooth import/export operations. You will work closely with our experienced customs team to gain valuable insights into customs compliance and develop your skills in customs administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and process customs documentation for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with customs authorities, brokers, and internal teams to resolve any issues and ensure timely clearance of goods.
- Data Accuracy: Input and maintain accurate customs data within management systems, ensuring records are up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
- Issue Resolution: Quickly and efficiently address any customs-related problems or delays, proactively finding solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay informed of changes in customs regulations and ensure that all documentation and processes adhere to the latest requirements.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to clients and internal teams by addressing customs-related inquiries and ensuring that shipments are cleared smoothly.
We are looking for a motivated and organized individual with at least 1 year of experience in a busy office or administrative role. Experience in customs, logistics, import/export, or compliance is highly desirable but not essential. You will have strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills.
