Job Overview

In this role, you will lead and undertake ecological field surveys, analyze survey results, and produce reports and documents. You will work closely with our team of experts to develop emerging workstreams, such as Biodiversity Net Gain, and have a broad knowledge of protected species survey and mitigation licensing.

Your excellent project management skills and ability to manage risk, quality assurance, and client feedback will enable you to deliver high-quality projects and exceed client expectations. A strong understanding of ecological principles and practices is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and undertaking ecological field surveys
  • Producing preliminary ecological appraisals, survey reports, and licence applications
  • Developing emerging workstreams, such as Biodiversity Net Gain
  • Managing projects, including resource allocation, managing subcontractors, and managing risk
Requirements
  • Degree level or equivalent in ecology or a related discipline
  • Protected species survey licenses and experience of protected species mitigation licensing
  • Strong understanding of habitat survey and CIEEM methodology
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage risk, quality assurance, and client feedback
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
