Salary Range: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

Job Description:

  1. Provide technical advice, planning, and undertaking ecology surveys, including extended Phase 1 habitat/UKHab surveys and protected species surveys.
  2. Prepare tenders for various schemes and suites of habitat, botanical, and protected species surveys.
  3. Develop strong client relationships and manage projects effectively.
  4. Mentor and train colleagues within the ecology team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant academic qualification in a related discipline and membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
  • Experience in conducting extended Phase 1 habitat/UKHab surveys and protected species surveys.
  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies.
  • The ability to author Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Chapters is desirable.
