Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Catering Operations Manager to join our team at Sodexo. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our mobile catering services, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Replenishment of Food and Supplies: Ensure that all food and supplies are replenished in a timely and efficient manner to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Develop and Mentor the Kitchen Team: Provide guidance and support to the kitchen team to ensure that they are equipped to deliver high-quality food and service.
  • Control Labor, Food, and Stock Expenses: Monitor and control labor, food, and stock expenses to ensure that we are operating within budget.
  • Manage and Optimize All Costs: Identify areas for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize all costs.
  • Ensure Uniformity in Food and Service Standards: Ensure that all food and service standards are consistently met across all locations.
  • Manage Menu Development: Develop and implement new menus to meet the changing needs of our customers.
  • Conduct Routine Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure that all operations are running smoothly and that high standards are being met.
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence: Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience in Large-Scale Cooking: Must have experience in cooking for large groups, typically between 100-1300 students.
  • Recipe Following and Staff Supervision: Must have experience following recipes and supervising staff in a similar setting.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Must be aware of the importance of adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Professional Attitude: Must have a professional attitude and be able to lead by example.
  • Basic Food Handling Skills Certification: Must hold basic food handling skills certification, such as NVQ Level 2 or Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
