An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join our dedicated team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Perform complex examinations of clinical specimens, interpreting results and providing expert advice to healthcare professionals.
- Lead on teaching, training, and developing staff in designated fields, with a focus on immunocytochemistry and molecular diagnostics.
- Deputise for the Deputy Service Manager as required, and perform other duties covered by the post holder's competencies.
This post is pivotal in the development of our immunocytochemistry and molecular service, requiring a strong background in Histopathology techniques and a willingness to work flexibly.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years post-registration experience, with a significant part in Immunocytochemistry and quality control, and hold either an MSc or FIBMS qualification.
