Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical equipment management services to NHS and other customers, supporting the clinical use of specialized medical equipment in critical care units, theatres, general wards, and community sites.
  • Fault-find, repair breakdowns, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, safety checks, and assist with the investigation of medical equipment-related incidents.
  • Work effectively within a team to ensure the day-to-day running of the service, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible, methodical approach.
  • Travel to various hospitals and clinics in Lothian to support the delivery of medical equipment management services.
Requirements
  • SCQF level 9 qualification in an electronics or medical engineering discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience working within an electronic servicing role.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a flexible, methodical approach.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team providing an equipment management service for a wide range of medical equipment. You will work across many clinical specialties, supporting the delivery of world-class healthcare at four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community.
