About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Henderson Ward, a busy acute adult mental health admission ward within Gartnavel Royal Hospital. As a key member of our in-patient mental health clinical team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of registered and non-registered nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies to form excellent working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff groups.
  • Participate in a hospital page holding rota and be available to work shifts (day and night shifts).
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a Band 5 Charge Nurse or above.
  • The ability to lead a team in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy.
