Consumer Marketing Manager

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Consumer Marketing Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for driving the growth of the brand portfolio through strategic consumer marketing initiatives while supporting retail and trade partners to maximise product visibility and sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute consumer campaigns across digital, social, and traditional media to drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Communicate the company's mission and values to consumers through compelling, authentic, and meaningful content.
  • Help define the consumer journey, combining all communication and distribution channels, and working closely with the Sales and Visual Merchandising teams on innovation and continuous improvement of in-store consumer experience & execution.
  • Define the launch and promotional calendar across all channels, working closely with the sales team.
  • Guide and manage the local PR agency.
  • Plan and execute consumer launch strategies for new products, including digital activations, PR, events, and sampling programs.
  • Ensure that the company's sustainability and ethical practices are woven into all consumer-facing communications.
  • Develop trade marketing plans with retail partners to enhance in-store product visibility, drive traffic, and increase sales performance.
  • Create promotional strategies and campaigns tailored to the retail environment, including in-store activations, displays, and point-of-sale materials.
  • Provide the sales team with trade materials such as sell sheets, product information guides, and presentation decks to support sell-in efforts.
  • Partner with retailers to execute joint marketing initiatives, co-branded events, and special promotions to drive consumer awareness in key accounts.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of trade promotions and marketing initiatives, adjusting tactics as needed to maximise ROI.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent working experience in Business and/or Marketing-related disciplines.
  • Innovative and willing to experiment with new concepts and approaches. Comes up with creative solutions to difficult problems. Positive working attitude with strong analytical and quick problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in project planning, retail marketing execution, and budget management.
  • Ability to prepare & deliver presentations, including to senior management.
  • Experience and track record in cosmetics and/or retail industry a definite advantage.
  • Strong understanding of retail environment and consumer shopping behaviours.
  • Excellent data analytics - Working knowledge of computer systems including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
