Our Disabled Children's Service manages statutory duties, working to improve life chances for disabled children and young people. We support families who need extra help or specialist care, working across assessment, child in need, child protection, and transition to adulthood planning.

About the Role

As a Social Worker, you'll have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and be ready to develop your skills, knowledge, and professional practice further. You'll provide good quality assessments, regular visits, and access to help and support for children and young people.

What We're Looking For

  • A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working in social care, including multi-agency and court environments
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective professional relationships
  • Knowledge of legislation, models, and theories relevant to children's social work
  • Exceptional recording and planning skills
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a car
