About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our Youth and Community Development programme in Cumbria and West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in community youth work, looking to drive service development and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide strategic leadership on programme and partnership growth, working closely with the Management team and Area Team Operational Managers.
  • To develop and implement service-wide special projects, such as Youth Participation and Volunteering.
  • To secure funding from various sources to support a breadth of youth and community programmes.
  • To collaborate with stakeholders to drive service development and income generation.

Requirements

  • Degree-educated or equivalent, with substantial work experience in a similar role.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of the Community Youth sector, including legislation, frameworks, and the changing landscape.
  • Experience of working within an inter-agency commissioning environment.
  • Proven track record of securing funding from diverse sources.
  • Competent user of MS Office software.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) permanent position, with hybrid working arrangements between Ambleside and Bradford, including one day per week at an alternative site.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £43,500 - £51,000, depending on experience. The Brathay Trust offers a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities.
