About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly Reception Team at the Sussex Orthopaedic Treatment Centre at The Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.

Key Responsibilities

The Receptionist and SOTC Administrator role encompasses a wide variety of duties and requires the successful applicant to provide a comprehensive, efficient, and accurate administrative service. The post holder will manage their own workload and act on an independent basis as required, adhering to the Access Policy, Waiting Time Targets, and Partial Booking.

Working with the Team

The successful candidate will work as part of the inpatients and outpatients team as well as with clinical staff to deliver the highest standards of administrative support possible for all patients and staff. The post holder will be required to work as part of a team, providing a friendly and efficient reception service for all visitors to the Unit, while ensuring the area is well maintained.

Requirements

  • 3 GCSE's grade A-C minimum (must include English)
  • Good working knowledge of administrative and secretarial practice
  • Experience of customer/patient facing roles
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and sensitivity to patients and carers maintaining confidentiality
  • Advanced Keyboard skills and excellent working knowledge of all outlook applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as other related PC applications
  • Maintains comprehensive filing system and records both computerised and paper
