About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Sussex Housing & Care. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support care staff in the induction and training process
  • Act as the senior person on duty in the absence of the Home Manager and Deputy
  • Assist in the regular review of risk assessments and care plans
  • Administer medication in accordance with the Homes drug administration system and pharmaceutical guidelines
  • Maintain a high standard of care and a homely environment for residents
  • Be available for on-call duties in accordance with the on-call rota
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the Health Care sector is essential
  • NVQ level 3 or 4 or equivalent is required
  • Part-time 22.5 hours available, with shifts from 6:45am to 2:15pm and/or 1:45pm to 9:15pm
  • Availability to work alternate weekends and participate in the on-call rota
