Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Station Manager to join our team. As a Station Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of firefighters and ensuring the effective delivery of fire safety services in various locations across South Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of firefighters to achieve operational objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve fire safety services
  • Maintain high standards of emergency response and risk management
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £51,525 per annum, plus 5% bonus. Additionally, you will be entitled to a range of benefits, including:

Requirements
  • Currently hold a permanent employment contract as a wholetime Watch Manager in a UK Fire & Rescue Service
  • Be substantive and competent in the Watch Manager role
  • Hold an IFE Level 4 Certificate – Unit 3: Fire Service Operations and Incident Command
  • Hold a Level 3 Assessor Qualification or be willing to achieve this qualification within 12 months
Assessment Process

The assessment process will consist of three stages:

  • Initial application form
  • Operational Assessment and Operational Interview
  • Leadership and Management Interview (plus Flexi Interview if applied for)
