We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Finance Professional to join our Finance Team at Cheshire East Council.

Company Overview

Our Finance Team provides financial support and advice to directors, heads of service, budget holders, elected members, and other stakeholders across our services. We work closely with our colleagues to deliver high-quality financial advice and support to ensure the efficient management of resources.

In light of increasing demand for services and rising costs, our transformation programme aims to create a stronger, more flexible council that can deliver vital services better and support those in need. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping managers deliver financially sustainable services through your expertise.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as a Senior Finance Professional. You will oversee, enhance, and deliver financial support for both service and corporate functions, ensuring efficient resource management.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accountancy, preferably in the public sector or large organisations. You should be a full member of a professional accountancy body (AAT or equivalent) and possess excellent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.

You will be responsible for analysing and presenting financial data, statistics, and trends in a meaningful way. Your ability to work in a fast-paced financial environment, where deadlines and priorities may change, is essential.
