About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Supply Chain Director to join our team at MacTaggart Scott. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of our Supply Chain function, ensuring optimal supplier performance and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Supply Chain Strategy: Create a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, ensuring optimal supplier performance and cost savings.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring that suppliers meet our quality, delivery, and price targets.
  • Lead the Supply Chain Team: Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to the supply chain team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures, ensuring that the supply chain function is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage Budgets and Resources: Oversee the supply chain budget and resources, ensuring that we are achieving our business objectives while minimizing costs.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, such as commercial and operations, to ensure that our supply chain strategy is aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
Requirements
  • Relevant Degree or Master's Degree: Hold a relevant degree or master's degree in a business, procurement, or related field.
  • CIPS Qualified: Be CIPS qualified to a minimum level 4.
  • Senior Management Experience: Have at least 3 years of senior management experience, with a proven track record of leading a team and delivering results.
  • Change Management Expertise: Have experience in change management, with the ability to lead and implement change initiatives.
  • Strong Leadership Qualities: Possess strong leadership qualities, with the ability to coach and develop staff members.
  • Strong Analytical and Quantitative Skills: Have strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • ERP Systems Knowledge: Have knowledge of ERP systems and data analysis.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels, from individual contributors to senior management.
