Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead our medicines optimisation efforts in South East London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve medication use and patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing medicines optimisation plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and stakeholders
  • Providing leadership and guidance to pharmacy teams to improve medication use and patient outcomes
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures related to medicines optimisation
  • Providing education and training to healthcare professionals on medicines optimisation and related topics
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of medicines optimisation initiatives and making recommendations for improvement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in pharmacy and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical or community pharmacy or equivalent experience
  • Experience of developing and implementing medicines optimisation services in a challenging environment
  • Extensive experience of negotiating and implementing change in practice
  • Ability to assimilate, analyse, interpret and present complex financial and clinical data
