Senior Transport Operations Manager

Job Title: Senior Transport Coordinator
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transport Coordinator to join our Transport team at our Heywood site on a full-time permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise resource allocation and adherence to WTD and drivers' hours legislation.
- Develop and oversee an effective transport plan to achieve on-time delivery and collection performance expectations.
- Manage and coordinate the transportation operation, ensuring service levels are achieved and maintained.
- Communicate effectively with the Planning team, Customer Service, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor and control arrival and departure times, ensuring deliveries are made within specified windows.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents, and near misses are logged, investigated, and reported.
- Conduct colleague reviews and provide feedback to improve performance.
Requirements:
- Proven knowledge and experience of tachograph/driving rules and regulations.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Good IT skills, including MS Office packages, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
