Job Title: Satellite Payload Engineer

At Morson Talent, we are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Payload Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering support for the production of satellites and payloads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the customization phase of satellite projects, including design for manufacture and documentation creation.
  • Lead the installation of satellite appendages and integration flows, and prepare for environmental testing.
  • Support the definition of mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE) and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with the Assembly Integration & Test (AIT) Lead Engineering team during periods of high workload.
  • Perform mechanical integration of electronic units, subsystems, and instruments, and control documentation and processes.
  • Prepare and conduct environmental tests, including vibration, acoustic, mass properties, and thermal testing.
  • Support process owners with observation resolution and operational activities.
  • Oversee unit installation activities on the satellite and support quality reviews.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of HNC level in a mechanical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Prior AIT experience is highly beneficial.
  • Prior mechanical experience from spacecraft or aircraft is desirable.
  • Familiarity with handling and lifting large spacecraft is essential.
  • System test experience and hands-on system-level experience are required.
