About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Trading Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with aligned customers and brokers, providing technical support and assistance.
  • Use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer.
  • Work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate on more technical and complex risks.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
  • Knowledge of underwriting – Property and Liability.
  • Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
