About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Trading Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with aligned customers and brokers
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers and brokers
  • Underwrite profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels
  • Use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer
  • Work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate on more technical and complex risks
Requirements
  • Knowledge of insurance product features and processes
  • Knowledge of underwriting - Property and Liability
  • Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
