Are you a seasoned Commercial Underwriter looking for a new challenge? Do you have a proven track record in underwriting for profit and a strong trading mentality? We are seeking an experienced Trading Underwriter to join our team at Carolyn Bowers Insurance Recruitment.
About the Role:As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting Property, Liability, and Combined risks within the mid-corporate arena. You will also mentor and coach less experienced colleagues, identifying opportunities for growth and retention of quality business.
Key Responsibilities:- Underwrite Property, Liability, and Combined risks within the mid-corporate arena
- Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues
- Identify opportunities for growth and retention of quality business
- Build and manage relationships with brokers and customers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong trading mentality and a proven track record in underwriting for profit
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, including key decision makers within broking partners
- The ACII qualification or progress towards it
