Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Support Assistant to join our team at Smart Teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and make a real difference in their educational journey.

About the Role

As an Education Support Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering lessons and providing targeted support to students with ASD. You will work closely with teachers and school leadership to develop effective strategies and interventions, and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons and provide targeted support to students with ASD, using your expertise and creativity to develop effective strategies and interventions.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of community and belonging among students, teachers, and staff.
  • Work closely with teachers and school leadership to achieve academic goals, using your knowledge and skills to develop effective plans and interventions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for teaching outside of a mainstream environment and a commitment to delivering high-quality education to students with ASD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Experience working with pupils with ASD, with a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent, with a strong background in special education.
