Fluid Dynamics Lead Designer

We are looking for a talented Fluid Dynamics Lead Designer to join our team, responsible for leading the design and development of Mechanical Platform Systems that deliver crucial ship services and crew life support capabilities for the next generations of Nuclear Submarine.
About the Role:
- To lead and develop functional engineering solutions that meet complex cross-functional interactions and requirements.
- Engage with suppliers to develop and capture equipment and component specifications that meet the demanding needs of the product.
- Collaborate with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios, use cases, and design considerations.
- Perform and review engineering calculations and analysis to inform design decisions and demonstrate system performance.
- Develop the package of design evidence required to justify a safe and effective design and generate customer confidence in the solution.
- Coordinate and manage stakeholders to solve complex engineering problems and make responsible decisions.
Requirements:
- Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science subjects.
- Chartered Engineer within a recognised engineering institute.
- Background in Fluid Systems Design.
- Design documentation skills with ability to present to customers and wider groups.
- Solving complex engineering calculations.
