Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Support the development of the department business plan and financial outperformance
  • Identify and explain material budget variances
  • Maintain and improve financial processes
  • Consolidate group entities across the Kelda Group
  • Provide month-end company reporting
  • Develop and maintain best practice processes
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified Accountant with broad business knowledge and previous experience of the planning and forecasting process
  • Good understanding and demonstrable experience of month-end reporting, including analysis and commentary
  • Ability to develop, maintain and leverage value from internal and external networks
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
  • Experience in the use of financial systems, preferably SAP
  • Good Excel skills and knowledge
Desirable:
  • Experience of regulated entities
  • Experience of consolidation processes
