We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team at Tunstall Healthcare. As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the accounting, financial reporting, and providing financial support for all entities within our Financial Shared Services team.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for the accounting accuracy and integrity of several Revenue streams.
- Ensure compliance and integrity of procedures, controls, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Work across the Financial Shared Service team to ensure documentation of processes and procedures to secure ongoing control and compliance.
- Produce the quarterly balance sheet and cash flow forecast, together with variance analysis.
- Support the UK Financial Audit and liaise with the auditors re queries and any information requests.
- Ensure monthly management and annual statutory reporting is accurate and delivered in line with reporting deadlines.
- Review monthly financial results with stakeholders, ensuring all issues are documented and appropriate actions agreed.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process for all entities within UK Financial Shared Services.
- Continually look to review and improve processes, to drive efficiencies.
- Part qualified and studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA or have a relevant finance degree or equivalent qualified experience.
- Proven experience within an assistant financial accountant role.
- Advance excel user (pivot tables, complex formula, data models, macros).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in writing and verbally.
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills and a good problem solver.
- Happy to work at multiple levels.
- Have a high attention to detail.
