About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team at Tunstall Healthcare. As a key member of our Financial Shared Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting, financial reporting, and providing financial support for all entities within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the accounting accuracy and integrity of several Revenue streams
* Ensure compliance and integrity of procedures, controls, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Work across the Financial Shared Service team to ensure documentation of processes and procedures to secure ongoing control and compliance
* Support the UK Financial Audit and liaise with the auditors re queries and any information requests
* Ensure monthly management and annual statutory reporting is accurate and delivered in line with reporting deadlines
* Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed with risks and opportunities identified in line with reporting deadlines
* Review monthly financial results with stakeholders, ensuring all issues are documented and appropriate actions agreed
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process for all entities within UK Financial Shared Services
* Continually look to review and improve processes, to drive efficiencies
Requirements:
* Part qualified and studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA or have a relevant finance degree or equivalent qualified experience
* Proven experience within an assistant financial accountant role
* Advance excel user (pivot tables, complex formula, data models, ideally macros)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in writing and verbally
* An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload effectively
* Excellent analytical skills and a good problem solver
* Happy to work at multiple levels
* Have a high attention to detail
