About the Role

Morson Talent is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our team in a contract position with one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture parts from start to finish, adhering to Aerospace specifications, using centre lathe turning and 2-axis lathes.
  • Ensure quality control by stamping and confirming assemblies meet Honeywell and customer standards.
  • Meet on-time delivery targets by completing work efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, follow process layouts, and adhere to documentation procedures.
  • Work effectively in a lean environment, prioritizing efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Engineering Apprenticeship (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of machining, specifically CNC and manual turning, or related machining experience.
  • Understanding of hand measuring equipment, such as Vernier, Micrometre, Thread, and Plug Gauges.
  • High standard of Health and Safety awareness.
  • Ability to work in a customer-focused environment, achieving targets, and collaborating with designers and engineers.
Attributes and Skills
  • Understanding of Aerospace practices and the significance of safety-critical work.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and ability to use initiative.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety standards, teamwork, flexibility, and ability to use initiative.
Additional Requirements
  • Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, and Drugs Screening.
  • Shift: 7am – 3:30pm.
