Paediatric Epilepsy Service Lead

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our team as a Paediatric Epilepsy Service Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and dedicated team, providing high-quality care to children and young people with epilepsy.

About the Role:

  • Manage your own workload and contribute to the development of services for Children and Young People (CYP) with Epilepsy.
  • Act as a practice leader, managing own workload and working across professional, organizational, agency, and system boundaries.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, applying the principles of prudent healthcare to assess and manage risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in networks, locally, regionally, and nationally, promoting excellent standards of care and contributing to the future development of paediatric epilepsy services.
  • Act as key liaison between children's and adult services, healthcare teams, lead consultants, consultant physicians, out-patient nursing teams, senior sisters, and nursing teams for paediatric and adult units.
  • Critically appraise evidenced-based practice and apply the principles of prudent healthcare to assess and manage risk.

Requirements:

  • NMC registration as RSCN or RN Child nurse, or equivalent.
  • Child and adult safeguarding training.
  • Post-registration - paediatric education and training to Postgraduate Diploma level.
  • Recognized certificate in mentorship and supervision.

Salary: £45,387 - £57,331 per annum.
