About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team at ConvaTec, a global medical products and technologies company. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, execution, and tracking of key, complex operations projects, ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon deliverables, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed work plans for assigned projects, identifying and sequencing the activities needed to successfully complete each project.
  • Determine the resources required to complete the project and resolve resource conflicts.
  • Develop schedules for project completion, effectively allocating resources to activities.
  • Review project schedules with senior management and project team members, revising schedules/plan as required.
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which projects will be evaluated at completion.
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
  • Understand and ensure teams comply with ConvaTec's Quality Systems.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project.
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure it meets project standards.
  • Write reports on the project for management.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
About You
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, database software, SAP, MS Outlook, and project management certification is desirable.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry, ideally medical device, pharmaceutical, or aerospace, is essential.
  • Experience working in diverse cultures is highly valued.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills are required.
  • Effective communication capabilities to all levels within the organization are essential.
  • Understanding of ethical behavior and business practices is necessary.
  • Ability to speak, listen, and write in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.
  • Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions that are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
  • Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
  • Ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
Qualifications
  • Certification in Project Management from a recognized certified body, such as PMP, APMP/APM PQ, APM RPP, or CMI diploma in project management.
  • A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or higher) is desirable.
  • Experience delivering New Product Introductions within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • BS or BA degree; Master or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in project management in the medical device industry (or similar) with knowledge and experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or research & development is essential.
