Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating operations data within the appropriate factory system, ensuring compliance to design intent.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Convert Engineering Design intent into Manufacturing Engineering data for Manufacturing Operations use.
  2. Manage and develop staff in-line with performance management techniques and processes.
  3. Identify own development opportunities and contribute to the management of Quality and SHE Systems.
  4. Build effective internal and cross-functional relationships to achieve overall Project requirements.
  5. Assist in the deployment of training & risk assessments associated with Manufacturing Engineering sub-discipline.
  6. Support justifications/business cases to improve business performance and provide optimised return on capital investment.
  7. Assure product and process quality as determined by company processes.
  8. Develop and test new systems when necessary.
  9. Provide decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs.
  10. Agree and prioritise emergent work affecting manufacture, fabrication or construction with the customer.
  11. Manage allocated projects and sub-projects from conception to completion with full stakeholder engagement.
  12. Act as a project focal point for discipline specific tasks, ensuring best practices are adopted and embedded.
  13. Develop processes within the sub-discipline by studying product requirements and researching development methods and equipment.
Leadership Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and motivate reporting and assigned staff through good communications, open and honest management techniques, in keeping with Company values, policies, & procedures.

Requirements
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Experience in defining and managing Key Performance Indicators
  • Experience in performing route cause analysis and reporting on countermeasures
  • Previous experience in dealing with performance management and leading a team
  • Professional knowledge of relevant Engineering standards (including SHE regulations)

Qualifications

HNC or equivalent, plus substantial experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role OR Foundation degree with experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
