Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at East Lancashire Hospice. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical leadership and management of our hospice community nurse specialist team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and delivery of our palliative care services in line with our clinical strategy
  • Provide clinical leadership and management of the hospice community nurse specialist team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, evidence-based palliative care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate and person-centred care
  • Manage caseloads and coordinate care delivery to ensure timely and effective interventions

Requirements

  • Substantial post-registration experience in palliative care
  • Leadership and management qualifications and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care

Person Specification

  • Current interventions and strategies for palliative care
  • Knowledge of national and local drivers and developments within palliative and end-of-life care
  • Leadership and management qualifications and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
