About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician in Acute Medicine to join our team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Physician in Acute Medicine, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading and managing the acute medical unit, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert clinical care to acute medical patients, focusing on comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
  • Lead and manage the acute medical unit, fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Engage with patients and their families, ensuring clear communication and shared decision-making.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
  • Mentor and train junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of acute medicine.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing emergency care and guidance as needed.
