Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support professional to join our Anticoagulant Monitoring Service team. As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service, providing administrative support to our clinicians and patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Anticoagulant Monitoring Service team, including reception duties, managing staff home time, and updating spreadsheets.
  • Deal with medication enquiries, requests for repeat medication scripts, appointments, and general patient requests/enquiries.
  • Liaise with our remote working clinical teams in NE, NW, and Yorkshire.
  • Create anticoagulation practice reports and email to practices for all anti-coagulant services.
  • Distribute internal/external mail, file and extract records, and maintain stock control.
  • Ensure information about any unresolved or urgent matters is passed on to colleagues.
  • Process and prepare new patient referrals, send and receive internal/external faxes, and handle appointment lists.

IntraHealth is a leading provider of NHS Primary and Community Care services. We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care, Pharmacy, and Clinical Services, including anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews, and childhood immunisation programmes.

We operate NHS services across the North East, Midlands, Yorkshire, and North West. Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants, and local administration teams supported by a centralised back office function.

Requirements
  • Good level of general education or experience equivalent to 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal aptitude and ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Friendly, personable character.
  • Smart appearance.
  • Ability to use initiative and work autonomously.
